Drone Race Results for July 2018 | Drone Racing Report | Vol 19

We are at the mid-point of the drone racing season, and the best pilots are rising to the top of the standings If you’re thinking about joining the action, there is still time to register and qualify for races

Here is some of the action The IDRA is now halfway through their Challenger’s Cup series, completing races in Milano, Italy and Buenos Aires, Argentina Two more races are scheduled for late July in Bogota, Colombia and Arsuz, Turkey, with races in early August in Switzerland and Canada Dallas “MUrica” Kemp continues to sit in the top spot followed Moritz “Lazy” Wurfelli and Shaun “Nytfury” Taylor in third In the IDRA Drone Racing series, Team Blacksheep still leads the standings with Team Expert Drones in second

The next marquee event on the calendar for the series is the Dover Internationals set for Dover International Speedway in October This event will also feature the final race of the Challenger’s Cup Series and will determine the final spots for the Las Vegas finals The FAI has been going full throttle, with the German Drone World cup in Nordlingen, Germany, followed by stops in France for the Cabourg World Cup and Trencin Slovaki for the Trencin FPV Cup July began with the FPV Racing World Cup in Macedonia then has a couple weeks off before finishing the month with events in Finland, Spain and Russia The pace will continue with five more races in August

For more info go to FAIorg The busy MultiGP schedule continues to roll on, and regions are starting to wrap up The Southwest region was the first to finish their regional final in early June with Corey “MewoFPV” Ibanez first in the final standings The Southeast region was next with their regional final held July 1 in Alabama Alex “Chief” Campbell came out on top, and also leads the overall MultiGP national standings

South Central is in the busiest stretch of their schedule Seven races have been completed with five left to go The South Central Regional Final is October 13-14 in Dallas, TX Ivan "limon" Efimov currently is in the top position for the region NorthEast Region completed its last few races at the start of July

Patrick “Enginair” White is still first in the standings with the Regional Final scheduled for the weekend of July 20-21 North Central has finished off a few events, but is preparing for a really busy stretch with 9 races to finish out July Kevin "kmead" Mead has taken over the top spot The regional final is scheduled for September NorthWest FINALLY got going, finishing races in Oregon and Washington

Three more are on the calendar before the final on September 1 Jordan “Jet” Temkin is currently in the standings lead Several other marquee events were also on the MultiGP calendar The popular Buffalo Bando was won by MultiGP National Champion Alex “Captain Vanover”, who followed with a win at the Heart of America Drone Race in Moberly, MO This past weekend was Flite Fest Ohio, where Bull-FPV swept all three days of racing while also earning a wildcard spot in the championship
